Starling has been verified on AMD and virtio-gpu only. Confirmed as a coverage gap. The session is verified on AMD (Radeon 780M) and on virtio-gpu/virgl in VMs. Intel and NVIDIA are untested, and the failure mode a user meets is a black screen after picking the session at GDM — no message, nothing pointing at the GPU. Two separable pieces of work: 1. Verify the hardware. Bring the session up on Intel (i915/Xe) and on NVIDIA — both nouveau and the proprietary driver, which differ substantially in their DRM/KMS and GBM behaviour. Expect EGL config selection to need attention: the AMD path already iterates configs to find an 8-bit R8G8B8 match because 10-bit configs are returned first, and other drivers order them differently. 2.
