Deferred in the September 18 roadmap. This does not block the three currently supported candidate platforms or the evidence-engine release. The aarch64-unknown-linux-musl release target can't build today: rust-htslib 0.44.1 fails to compile on aarch64 with error[E0308]: mismatched types (the classic aarch64 c_char signedness difference, an upstream issue). The x86_64-linux-musl + both macOS targets build fine. Status: dropped from the release matrix + install.sh for now (so releases stay green); the cmake + host-g++ fix for libz-sys/zlib-ng (hts-sys 2.2.0) is retained and does work on x86_64-musl. To re-enable aarch64-linux: bump/patch rust-htslib/hts-sys to a version that compiles on aarch64 (or carry a small patch for the c_char cast), then re-add the ubuntu-24.04-arm matrix entry + the install.sh aarch64 mapping (both are a one-line revert). The zlib-ng cmake/g++ env is already in place.

examples/columnkit_coverage.rs is the one worked ColumnAnalyzer example. Add a second small analyzer (GC content, mean MAPQ, or a methylation-style track) to show the SDK's range and give contributors a copy-paste template — it inherits the bounded memory contract + receipt for free.

python/rosalind.py is a stdlib+numpy boundary over the CLI. Ship maturin/abi3 wheels so the (Python-first) bioinformatics audience can pip install and call Rosalind from a notebook / Nextflow / Snakemake without a Rust toolchain. See docs/GROWTH.md Wave 1.2.

features emits TSV today. An Arrow/Parquet egress (plus a zero-copy in-process pyarrow binding) would make the reproducible ML feature substrate first-class for the Python/dataframe ecosystem, while keeping the byte-reproducible receipt. See the README "reproducible feature substrate" section.

Deferred in the September 18 roadmap. This does not block the three currently supported candidate platforms or the evidence-engine release. There is no Windows binary and install.sh has no Windows branch. Add x86_64-pc-windows-msvc to release.yml and a PowerShell install path (or document cargo install for Windows). Lower priority than Linux aarch64.
