When i was testing in development it was working, because it was running via VS, but once deployed, it's a standalone COM process. The foreground activation must come from the CmdPal host process, not from the extension. The extension running as an out-of-process COM server simply doesn't have foreground rights to grant. Will need some more research....

When compared to ECP, it takes more time to load the result When using EVKey Vietnamese keyboard tool, ECP3 character tends to disappear when typing some characters (e.g., "w", "f") while ECP handles those characters with no problems. For some reason, every time I use CmdPal after some time gap, Everything takes over a minute to start (e.g. right now I measured 2.5 minutes between entering the prompt and getting results); attempting to open the actual app at that time results in it not responding. This has been repeated with both CmdPal and CmdPal3, Everything v1.41.1032.x64 and v1.5.0.1404a.x64. Notably this issue is not present in EPT v0.91.1 with Everything v1.41.1032.x64.
