Summary Add internationalization support to lifeGLANCE so the UI can be translated into multiple languages. German is the first target locale based on user request and the strong German presence in the self-hosted community. Scope ✅ Integrate an i18n library (react-i18next) ✅ Extract all hardcoded UI strings into translation files ✅ Add browser locale detection with fallback to English ✅ Ship initial French translation 🎯 Ship German translation Add more languages (contributors welcome!) Out of scope (for now) RTL language support Localized date/number formatting beyond what the library provides by default Translating marketing site / README Notes This is a solo side project so no committed timeline Open to contributors, especially native speakers willing to review translations A German-speaking user has offered context and may be willing to review
