Live Good First Issues (2)
Real-Time Open GitHub IssuesHello, I noticed that loading large-scale meshes, such as meshes with millions of faces, can currently take a considerable amount of time. In addition, RXMesh appears to support only UTF-8 encoded OBJ files for mesh input. I would like to ask whether support for binary mesh formats, such as .ply, could be added. I am also wondering whether there is a faster implementation or possible optimization for the patch construction stage. Thank you very much.
I think we are too strict on the key/payload/slot type constraints. cuda::atomic_ref supports 1B and 2B operations. This is is to be explored in a future PR. Originally posted by @sleeepyjack in #803
