Several requests ask for objects beyond Earth orbit: Mars rovers (#627), lunar orbiters (#630), Mars orbiters (#631) and solar probes (#632). The satellites layer places Earth-orbiting objects from TLEs, so these don't fit it as-is. CesiumJS can render other bodies (Moon and Mars ellipsoids and tilesets), but switching the globe touches most layers, the camera and the share-link state. Opening this to see if anyone wants to explore what an "other worlds" mode would take: data sources (e.g. NASA/JPL ephemerides, rover positions), what Cesium provides, and what the rest of the app would need. Not a near-term priority for the maintainers, but proposals are welcome here.

Track a plane, and GEV shows the right frequency for its phase of flight (ground, tower, approach, ATIS) at the nearest airport, and lets you listen. Frequencies: OurAirports airport-frequency data (public domain). Every airport, no key. Listening, in order: your own SDR; a nearby web receiver that covers the frequency (#279). KiwiSDRs also reach HF oceanic ATC. otherwise, a credited link to LiveATC's page for that airport. LiveATC in-app audio: their terms ask third parties to consult them before linking directly to streams, so we're asking. Until we hear back, GEV doesn't ship LiveATC stream URLs. Optional: paste your own stream URL for an airport. It's stored only in your browser. Plays through the Radio transport, one audio source at a time. Starting point: #255 by @penguinatnight. Part of #714.

A lot of good radio work is open right now. This issue pulls it into one place so contributors can coordinate instead of duplicating. Direction: Radio becomes one listening surface with several sources: broadcast stations (today), web receivers, your own SDR, and ATC. Map layers show where radio infrastructure is.
