Problem Statement api/src/main.ts uses console.log and console.error for startup messages, bypassing the Pino structured logging pipeline. This produces inconsistent log output - startup messages appear as unstructured plain text while the rest of the API emits structured JSON, breaking log aggregation and monitoring. Proposed Solution Instantiate a standalone pino logger for the bootstrap phase, before NestJS takes over via nestjs-pino: import pino from "pino"; const bootstrapLogger = pino({ name: "bootstrap" }); bootstrapLogger.info("Running database migrations..."); bootstrapLogger.info("Database migrations completed"); bootstrapLogger.error({ err: error }, "Failed to start the0 API"); This keeps all log output in structured JSON format, consistent with the rest of the API. Alternatives Considered Keeping console.log for startup - not acceptable because it breaks structured log aggregation in production environments (e.g. Datadog, Loki, CloudWatch). Waiting until after NestJS boots
