Area Timetable Type of Change New feature (Flutter / UI) Problem Statement When viewing the timetablepage, the day selection only displays static day labels (S, M, T, W, T, F, S). There are no corresponding calendar dates shown. Current behavior: The user can select a day of the week (S, M, T, W, T, F, S) to view their classes. There are no date numbers associated with the day tabs. When planning events, outings, or booking travel, users must leave the app to check a separate calendar app to see which weekday matches a specific date before returning to view their schedule. This creates unnecessary navigation friction. Proposed Solution Proposed Solution Display the corresponding calendar dates above or within the day selector tabs for the current week. Suggested Implementation: Dynamically compute the dates for the current week (Sunday through Saturday). Display the day number (e.g., 21, 22, 23) directly above or inside each day tab (S, M, T, W, T, F, S). Clearly highlight the current

Area Digital Assignments Type of Change New feature (Flutter / UI) Problem Statement When uploading a digital assignment from the subject-specific assignment page, there is no visual feedback that the upload is in progress. Current behavior: User selects a file and taps Upload/Submit. The screen remains unchanged while the file is being uploaded. There is no loading indicator or progress feedback. After the upload completes, the app navigates back to the Digital Assignments page. However, the main Digital Assignments page still displays the previous status (e.g., "Pending") because it is not refreshed automatically. The user has to manually tap the refresh button to see the updated "Submitted" status. This can make users think the upload did not complete successfully. Proposed Solution After tapping Upload/Submit: Show a loading indicator (or progress indicator) while the upload is in progress. Prevent multiple upload attempts until the request completes. Display a success Snackbar

Area Other Type of Change New feature (Flutter / UI) Problem Statement The faculty information displayed in the app is often outdated and requires manual updates whenever faculty members join, leave, change departments, or update their profiles. VIT-AP already maintains an official faculty directory backed by a CMS API. Since the app currently relies on static or manually maintained data, users may see incorrect faculty information. Proposed Solution Integrate the VIT-AP faculty CMS API as a data source for the faculty directory. Website: https://vitap.ac.in/allfaculty The faculty page on the VIT-AP website fetches data from a Strapi backend which contains structured faculty information such as: Name Designation Department Email Office Location Research Areas Faculty Photo The app could periodically fetch and cache this data locally, ensuring that users always have access to up-to-date faculty information without requiring app updates. Potential implementation: Fetch faculty data fr

This process is time-consuming and error-prone. Proposed Solution Add an Attendance Calculator feature that allows users to input total classes and attended classes to instantly view their attendance percentage, required classes to meet the threshold, and safe bunk count.
