#693 added ARG VERSION COMMIT to the Dockerfile so a build could report the right version without .git in the build context (.dockerignore excludes it, so the Dockerfile's own git describe/git rev-parse fallback never sees a repository). The same commit also keys the web UI's asset cache-busting path off the build's commit (assetPrefix in pikoci/transport/http/assets_route.go). Nothing feeds those args in yet. What's missing deploy/pipeline.hcl's docker buildx build calls (build-latest at line 341, build-release at line 427) don't pass --build-arg VERSION=... --build-arg COMMIT=.... Published ghcr.io/pikoci/pikoci images still report dev (unknown), and their asset prefix falls back to a process-start timestamp instead of the commit. deploy/deploy.sh's own go build (line 124) doesn't set -ldflags either, unlike Makefile:139 and deploy/pipeline.hcl:365 (the CI build for ci.pikoci.com), which both do. The self-deploy binary has the same gap. Why it hasn't caused a visible bug Every depl
